KNOW WHEN TO CALL ABOUT INCIDENTS

Contact your provider at Cornerstone if you or your newborn are experiencing any of these symptoms:

INJURY OR ACCIDENTS

  • Contact with chemicals, toxins, fumes or smoke

  • Any domestic violence

  • Human or animal bites

  • Motor vehicle accident

  • Falls, especially if you hit your abdomen

ILLNESS

  • Fever of more than 100.6°F that does not go away a few hours after taking acetaminophen

  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea for more than 24 hours

  • Painful urination

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or seek immediate care from the nearest hospital emergency room – including these conditions:

  • Shortness of breath and chest pain

  • Heavy vaginal bleeding that soaks through a large pad in 10 minutes

  • Fainting or extreme dizziness

  • Sexual assault

  • Severe motor vehicle accident

  • Breathing problems if you have asthma
